Why should you buy from Mark’s MOTO GEAR?
You shouldn’t. Not at first anyway. I’m firm a believer in buying
local, and supporting the businesses in my community. So check with your local
dealer or motorcycle shop first to see if they carry what you want. But, if you can’t
find what you’re looking for, we’d love to earn your business!
Who is Mark?
I’m a fellow motorcycle rider based in the
Buffalo, NY area and have been riding and touring for over 10 years. My
professional background is in automotive repair, tool sales, and product
integrity testing. Current bikes: 2003 Harley-Davidson Sportster and a 2009
Kawasaki Versys.
How we do business:
We’re a small business, so your not going to
find everything you’re looking for or the cheapest prices. We know we can’t
compete with the big guys on price or selection, but we can and do compete on
service. We provide excellent service! Don’t believe me? Check out all
the positive feedback from our ebay store. Our
shipping rates are very reasonable and in most cases the product is shipped
within 1 business day. We stock most items we sell (only the Olympia Moto
Sports items are not always stocked), so that’s why we can ship our products so
quick.
What inspired Mark’s MOTO GEAR?
I started Mark’s MOTO GEAR in 2011 as
a way to channel my love for riding and my interest in finding the right gear,
into a business so I can help my fellow rider find quality
products, good prices and excellent service.
But it all really started in September 2002
when I bought my first new motorcycle, a 2003 Harley-Davidson Sportster.
Two weeks after getting my new bike, some friends and
I embarked on my first road trip to the Harley-Davidson 100th
Anniversary Celebration in Barrie, Ontario. Having no touring gear whatsoever
accept for a small duffle bag strapped to be passenger pillion and a cheap
plastic rain suit, we road 180 miles through the pouring rain. It was a
miserable ride, but I was having a blast on my new bike! From that point on, I
knew I had to invest in quality gear for the many trips I would take.
Over the course of the next 10 years, I've
researched; purchased and used a lot of different gear
and have experienced the good and not-so-good products on the market.
Plus I added another motorcycle to my garage...a 2009 Kawasaki Versys. Buying
the Versys has opened my eyes to sport riding, and once again found myself
needing more gear for traveling. My passion for motorcycle touring and my never
ending quest for quality gear has led me to this point.
Our Goal:
To make you happy you chose Mark’s MOTO
GEAR. It’s pretty simple. If we have the product you want, at the price you
want to pay, and we get it to you fast, we think you’ll be happy. And then,
hopefully you’ll tell your friends about us.
Another goal we have it to grow Mark’s
MOTO GEAR from the online-only retailer that we are now, into a brick and
mortar store in our community. It goes back to my earlier point about buying
local. We’d love to have the opportunity to offer a variety of great motorcycle
products to the local riders, in a friendly place where they can stop by and
see everything in person, and hopefully make some new friends as well as new
customers.
